Australian born Geelong raised pianist & singer-songwriter is a classically trained pianist that plays and writes rock music.
Singing and playing piano his music is up-lifting and energetic and his performances are equal to match and shreds the piano like an escaped lunatic.
Pulling on inspiration from a vast range of artists including big names like Elton John, Queen & Shinedown along with composers such as Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Hans Zimmer & Two Steps From Hell, Tommy Harrold's music is unique, powerful and will blow your mind.
Tommy Harrold began to play the piano at aged 4 trying to copy his older brother. A year later Tommy Harrold started piano lessons and begun a long journey off studying classical piano and undertaking AMEB grades.
However the turning point from classical to rock and roll was in his teenage years when Tommy heard Elton john's Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting. "I remember the first time hearing it. It completely opened up my mind. I didn't know the piano could be played like that".
Tommy continued learning classical music and now also Rock music he began writing his own music and fusing the two genres together. With the use of classical music's grandeur and great big chords ripped from the pages of the Romantic Era exploding together with Rock music's architectural structure its intensity and brutalness and barbaric baldness Tommy Harrold's music is unforgettable.
Tommy is currently working on his latest album and is writing a fictional novel to go with the album.
Tommy Harrold also plays many covers such as Queen, Elton John, U2 and so much more.
